Echo is the conversational intelligence engine developed by Ruka Group. It is built in-house and designed to understand English, Dutch, Zulu, Xhosa and Swahili as first languages rather than translated through an English pivot. Echo is hosted on Google Cloud in Johannesburg for POPIA compliance and data residency. It powers all products in the Ruka SmartSuite, including SmartChat, SmartBook, SmartNudge and SmartHealth.
